This committee is the bridge between families and the organization. It values parents\u2019 involvement and entrusts experienced athletes with a role as positive models for the club\u2019s up-and-coming swimmers. It acts as an advisory committee to the executive director.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Encourage parents\u2019 engagement and active participation in club life.<\/li>
  • Create a mentorship program between athletes and between parents.<\/li>
  • Serve as a link between families and the club\u2019s management.<\/li>
  • Contribute to members\u2019 well-being, motivation and retention.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    • Organize information meetings at the start of the season.<\/li>
    • Facilitate the coordination of volunteering at competitions.<\/li>
    • Gather and relay families\u2019 concerns to the executive director.<\/li>
    • Provide logistical support during club events.<\/li>
    • Create a support network among parents (carpooling, mutual aid, a donations and exchanges page).<\/li>
    • Take part in the promotion and recruitment of new members.<\/li>
    • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and respectful climate within the team.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Mentor athletes component<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
      • Pair experienced athletes with the younger swimmers from the previous group.<\/li>
      • Organize exchange and experience-sharing sessions.<\/li>
      • Be present as role models at practices and competitions.<\/li>
      • Take part in creating inspiring content for social media.<\/li>
      • Build team spirit and develop themes for competitions in partnership with the communications and partnership committees.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        • Interest in the well-being of young athletes and in community life.<\/li>
        • Openness, diplomacy and a collaborative spirit.<\/li>
        • Availability to take part in events and meetings.<\/li>
        • Understanding the club\u2019s vision and supporting the executive director.<\/li>
        • Ability to speak English, French and others, in order to easily welcome all our members.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          Who we\u2019re looking for \u2014 mentor athletes<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
          \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
          • A club athlete with at least 2 seasons of experience within NG.<\/li>
          • Positive leadership, maturity and a sense of responsibility.<\/li>
          • A passion for swimming and a desire to pass it on to the athletes of the previous group.<\/li>
