The partnership committee is the financial means to support the club’s families. It works to support families and ease financial pressure by diversifying revenue sources through sponsorships and public and private grants.
Mission
- Create a partnership policy or update the existing one.
- Develop and maintain lasting partnerships with local and regional businesses.
- Identify and submit grant applications to government agencies and foundations for the executive director.
- Ensure sponsor visibility in accordance with the agreements reached.
- Help provide an acceptable sport experience for all members regardless of their financial situation.
- Create an assistance fund to support the most disadvantaged families.
- Identify needs and partnerships in line with the club’s mission (competition and sport life).
Responsibilities
- Identify and propose various grants to the E.D.
- Prepare and propose customized sponsorships.
- Keep a register of active partnerships and deadlines.
- Lead recreational fundraisers supported by the social committee.
- Ensure follow-up and accountability with partners.
- Maintain relationships with sponsors (thank-yous, reports).
- Present a financial report to the board twice a year.
Who we’re looking for
- Interest in fundraising or experience in fund development.
- Writing skills and a sense of professional communication.
- Knowledge of the community sport sector (an asset).
- Availability for meetings with potential partners.
Annual objectives
- Identify a minimum of 5 grant applications per year.
- Maintain at least 3 active sponsors.
- Increase partnership revenue by 10% compared to the previous year.
