Originally from Mauritius, Pierre-Alexandre (P-A) Rose is an assistant coach at Natation Gatineau. A competitive swimmer for more than 10 years, he progressed to the provincial level in Canada after competing at the national championships of his home country. This experience gives him a deep understanding of athletes’ journeys and the challenges they face at every stage of their development.
A coach since 2014, P-A has worked with swimmers of all ages, from swim schools to performance groups and Masters. Over the years, he has also been head coach for the Lanaudière region in 2022 and the Outaouais region in 2025 at the Jeux du Québec, an experience that strengthened his vision of athlete development.
His philosophy is simple: a happy swimmer is a high-performing swimmer. He believes that a positive environment, where fun, respect and self-improvement are at the heart of daily life, fosters lasting progress.
Always driven by the desire to learn and improve, P-A is currently completing his NCCP 301 training. Passionate about the evolution of swimming, he constantly seeks to deepen his knowledge of training planning, physical preparation and dryland in order to give swimmers the best tools to progress and reach their full potential.
His goal is to contribute to the development of each swimmer by helping them reach their full potential, while passing on values that will serve them both in sport and in life.
